Nature is at the center of people’s lives here in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. They live equally from and with nature. In all its facets, it shows people how meaningful and unique it is. The rich flora and fauna of our region has inspired many writers to create works about nature. Fritz Reuter, in his day, was of the opinion: “Paradise must have been located here.”
The unspoiled beauty of the Mecklenburg Lake District, as well as the Müritz National Park and the Nossentiner-Schwinzer Heide Nature Park, is incomparable. The Damerower Werder bison reserve and the Malchow Monkey Forest are also popular excursion destinations with excellent reviews.
Well-developed trails invite you to hike or cycle. Many long-distance cycling routes run through this unique landscape, first and foremost the Berlin-Copenhagen Cycle Route. It passes just 100 m from our holiday apartments. Alongside the nature of fields, meadows and forest, there are also numerous bird and fish species. These are especially impressive to explore by boat.
Our literally 1,000 lakes are mostly connected to one another by rivers and canals across the water, and on land by a multitude of cycling paths, which makes the Mecklenburg Lake District a perfect playground for outdoor fans. Whether paddling, by motorboat, or on a modern bike – there’s plenty to discover here.

With us, you can rent stand-up paddleboards (SUP), canoes, kayaks, as well as pedal boats, rowing boats and license-free motorboats. That way everyone – whether alone or in a group – finds the right ride for the Jabelscher See.
No. Our motorboats (e.g. the Aqua 495 and Lakeman 550) are license-free and can be driven from age 16. At handover you’ll receive a detailed introduction – no prior experience is needed.
Yes. Much of it is available flexibly by the hour, for a half day, or for a full day. Just talk to us, we’re happy to advise you.
No. Our rental service is open to everyone – you don’t have to camp or stay overnight with us. Simply drop by.
A city bike costs 10 € for a half day and 16 € for a full day. You can rent the bikes flexibly for days or weeks. There is also a charging station available for e-bikes.
Rentals take place right at the lake. For SUPs and the license-free motorboats, we provide a short introduction so you can start off safely.
Absolutely! Our pedal boats with a water slide are a hit with young and old, and a relaxed bike tour through nature has something for the whole family.
